I am not your pastor’s idea of a spiritual director.
I won’t hand you a verse and tell you what it means for your life. I won’t nod along while you talk yourself into the decision you already know is wrong, and I definitely won’t diagnose you with a label that lets both of us stop looking. What you’re actually looking for, underneath the question you came in with, usually isn’t advice. It’s help seeing how what you already believe, about yourself and about God, is quietly shaping the exact situation you’re stuck in.
Decades in ministry taught me how much of what passes for spiritual guidance is really just someone else’s certainty, handed to you as a substitute for your own. A doctorate in Education taught me something different: how people actually come to understand a thing for themselves, instead of being told it and calling that understanding. I put those two educations together into the work I do now, contemplative, intuitive practices, held inside real theological grounding, to settle a busy mind down long enough that you can finally hear what’s moving underneath it.
Some people call that intuition. I tend to call it God’s voice in your heart, which was never actually gone. It was just waiting for the noise to quiet down enough to be heard.
You don’t need someone else’s answer for your life. You need help hearing your own.
The truth shall set you free. The truth about YOU sets YOU free. I help you become aware of that truth, accept that truth, and walk in step with that truth, until your mind is finally free.
